Choosing Milos as your wedding destination is like stepping into a romantic Greek postcard. Jan and Simon picked this hidden gem in the Cyclades for their big day. Milos is known for its surreal landscapes. Think white lunar-like cliffs at Sarakiniko, dramatic coastlines and colourful fishing villages. Jan and Simon had it all.

The preparations and ceremony

The island has the perfect backdrop for intimate ceremonies and magical photos. The day started at Captain Zeppos in Pollonia for Jan’s bridal preparation. Located just steps from the sea, Captain Zeppos offers a tranquil setting that puts you right on the waterfront with unforgettable views. Ideal for relaxing before the big moment. The ceremony was held at St Nikolaos Chapel in Pollonia.  Its whitewashed walls, sea views and intriguing floor tiles provided a quintessential Greek setting.

Sarakiniko was literally like stepping onto another planet. The contrast between the white stone and the deep blue Aegean Sea is unlike anything else in Greece. Definitely my favourite spot. We could have stayed all afternoon, but Plaka, the quaint village with its cobbled streets, was waiting for us for some wind-swept images.
