Incredible Gilpin Lake House wedding

Jayne and Matt picked the incredible Gilpin Lake House for their intimate wedding in picturesque Windermere, right in the very heart of the Lake District. This Michelin starred hotel and spa is set on a beautiful hundred-acre land with stunning views over the lake. Needles to say, there were plenty of scenic backdrops for bride and groom shots! Who wouldn’t like a beautiful Lake District wedding with extraordinary service, tasteful décor and fine food 🙂

The newly weds had the exclusive use of the lake house, which made the lake and woodland photography a joy. During the couple shoot, I loved our photos of the beautiful spa overlooking the tarn and a boat house. As one might expect, it rained. We had lots of Lake District rain! 

However my favourite images were taken by the lake. The rowing boats allowed the couple to have some peaceful time together on the water during their special day. As you will see, I managed to sneak a few shots of them and even the sun came out to shine for this special moment. Big thanks to Jayne and Matt for having me as their wedding photographer. Here’s to a long, happy and healthy marriage!
