Romantic bride and groom portraits at the Ravenswood

The Ravenswood offers an abundance of beautiful locations for romantic bride and groom portraits, and James and Georgia wedding day was no exception. Surrounded by wildflower meadows, mature trees and blooming gardens, we wandered through some of the venue’s most picturesque spots, creating images that felt both timeless and effortlessly natural. The soft summer light filtering through the trees added a dreamy quality to every photograph, while the couple’s relaxed connection made capturing genuine moments a joy.

Capturing genuine smiles

From the sweeping veil drifting gently through the meadow to the intimate moments beneath the flowering pergola and the rustic garden swing, each location offered a different backdrop while keeping the focus firmly on the couple. Rather than relying on formal poses, I encouraged them to walk, talk and enjoy each other’s company, capturing genuine smiles and affectionate moments as they happened. These relaxed portraits are often some of my favourite images from a wedding day, preserving not just how everything looked, but also the quiet, joyful feeling of being newly married at The Ravenswood.
